Looking good so far. No worries about the pot either, I put my new seedlings right into their three gallon home - looks funny as hell when they first go in. They never have a problem, either.

:idea:A couple of 30W+ cfl's and just added three 27W cfl's. All except one are 2400K rated I have one 32W 4500K,that puts out 2700 lumens, one 30W puts out 2100 lumens and the other three 27W's put out 1750 lumens. I hope that is sufficient. Let me know if not thanks ppl.:weed:

Peace out,

That should be sufficient, for what you're growing right now.

When someone describes a bulb as a 5000k, 2700k, 6500k, whatever the case may be - they are describing the color spectrum that the light is in. That's completely seperate from lumens. Lumens has to do with how much light energy the bulb puts put. You need a minimum of 3000 lumens per square foot to grow mj, 5000 lumens (or more) per square foot recommended. That help you out some?

During the beginning (veg. stage) you need 5000K-6500K light spectrum (daylight/cool). During the end (flowering stage) you need 2700K light spectrum (warm).

Then like dude said...there is also a LUMEN rating for bulbs as well. The higher the lumens the better. All bulbs vary in lumens.

yes. what he and she said. but i myself started out with a cfl grow. got 2 weeks into flowering and growth basically stopped. i had 3 2700k cfl's and 2 regular t8 veg floros. under 1 plant. so i than switched to a 400watt hps/mh putting out a killer 50,000 lumens [Even more with a 'super lumen' option on my ballast ]... after 2 days under the light the buds literally exploded. still growing. i would be interested in seeing if you can get a nice flowering with your setup. plant looks great btw. hope its a sexy female lol

Hello my friends please take a look at my latest pics I'm running a little late srry. I just started my flowering 12/12 cycle today. Will keep you all posted feel free to also visit my journal.

Soil is M.G. Organic, potting soil from Walgreens, perlite, and a little moss. 3 27W cfl's 2500K 1750 lumen each,and two 32W cfl's 4500K 2400 lumen each. Thats all I could afford.

PEACE OUT,
