CO2 Room Setup Help

Okay so i have been thinking about getting a co2 tank for my tent. I have a 4'x4'x7' tent, and a 340 cfm fan. Trying to figure out how long I should regulate co2, 30 mins on/30 mins off, 30 mins on/1 hours off, etc with what flow rate?

I realize with co2 it's not a good idea to run my exhaust into my attic because I'd be wasting it all. Should I also seal my door in my grow room? Should I be worried about heat if i do so? I was thinking not because co2 lowers temps.

Still need a little help with the questions above. Any help is appreciated.

What you could do is get a hood that is enclosed and run ducting from outside, into the room, through the hood, and then out. Your room will stay sealed and the air going through the light is seperate.
You can run a littler higher temps with c02.

I personally run my cycle timer 15min every 3 hours.

To do that I'd have to put a hole in my wall to suck air in.

What is your flow rate set at?

first off if your really set on going c02 here are things you should know first off c02 can be pricey investing in a good regulator is a must compressed co2 is @ 1200 psi in the tank you need to keep it away from your grow area reason i say good regulator is most issues with c02 is freeze up
as for flow rates 50 psi on reg is good , investing in a 3 in 1 cap co2 monitor is prob what you should look at it sniffs co2 levels and will dispurse c02 as per the settings you set it at it also can monitor Heat , and humidity which will be a issue guarnteed
if theres pets or kids in the house you need to be aware c02 kills
would kinda suck having to call 911 cause some family member is dead
so all in all if your dead set on c02 then don;t cheap out get a decent monitor and accessories which can easily bring up the costs to 1300 - 1800 for tank , reg ,monitor , insulation , bla bla bla
good things with monitors is you can set it up so once temps hit so much c02 stops exhaust fan kicks on till everything is back in range etc , humidity same thing

It doesn't have to be from outside the house, just outside the tent.

I set my flow rate at .5 CFM and then calculate from there based on room size for duration.

I would get a Co2 controller and let it do all the work for yourself. I run my sealed room at 1500 PPM and yes you will need to pull cool air from somewhere outside the tent ---> through the air cooled hood----> and exhaust the hot air somewhere like your attic and just keep your co2 tank/regulator in the tent.. I use a controller so I dont know the math.

Like most people said, unless your room is properly sealed off, CO2 is more of a waste of money then its worth.

You will be blowing through alot alot, unless you seal up your tent really well, and then you also should get a nice CO2 controller as well.

CO2 is one those things that if used properly and such in a dialed in setup can help offset higher temps and boost yields but most people over do it or don't do it proper and end up spending more money then the results are worth if they get any at all.

Also U can always make a ghetto CO2 generator using sugar, yeast and water with a bucket with a lid and some tubing plumbed in that wont get you to like 1500ppm but will raise it enough to make a differnce is way cheaper then the 500-1000 buck range a reg, bottle and etc. will run you.
