co2production from mushrooms

I have an idea that I hope will be seriously considered before you all laugh your asses off, and tell me I was in line for brains,and turned them down because I tought they said 'PAINS".
Anyhow, I have a cfl growroom fit comfotable in my 3 1/2' x 3 1/2'x 6' closet.
I am only using the bottom half, and would like to grow mushrooms above using the "PF TEK" method in a rubbermaid bin with holes all over.
If I am right, co2 is heavier than air and the co2 produced in mushroom cultivation would be a welcome addition to my plants beneath.
This is still in the planning stage, but I would appreciate any thoughts, and ideas.

It will work cuz co2 in heavier then air. i never grown mushrooms b4 is it hard?

I used to grow them years ago before all the modern techniques, and the introduction of spore syringes. I had success,but it was such a pain in the ass between growing and isolating myco cultures, about 50 gazillion steps while maintaining as sterile an enviroment as possible.
My girlfriend at the time thought it was kinky the way my bedroom smeld like the emergency ward where she worked, and it got her off.
Anyway, with all this new tech, it really looks alot easier and 10 times faster than when I grew them, SO, lets all give it a try and see if this could be a new approach to "companion gardening", which is a term used to describe planting crops that help each other-fixing nitrogen in the soil, etc.....
For the cost of a rubbermaid storage container, and a 20.00 spore syringe, WHY NOT?

i guess that could work but its easier to use sugar/water/yeast :clap: and a lot less of a pain in the ass to just use a bottle. i use sugar/water/yeast by the way it works ok.

yeah that sounds like a killer idea, i mean sure a lot of people will tell you to get a tank and all that crap but if your allready growing the shrooms then you will probably get some supperising results i think, i mean after all thats how those co2 boost buckets work is by growing fungi pretty much
