Hello people, i've been reading through alot of forums trying to get my head around all these "optimum" conditions for my crop.
Basically, I have been on an uphill struggle to get it all right and its costing a sh*t load of $$$.
I think I may have solved it but would like a few tips on what to do as of now.

I'm growing in an approx. 8ft longx6ft highx5ft wide grow tent.
Got an 8" extraction fan pulling air out through a large carbon filter and into another room.
Got an 6" extraction fan pulling air in from an open window (exhaust covered with a net).
Got a convection heater below the intake exhaust infront of window set on a timer for 8/16
Got 2x600w HPS lights set for 16/8 cycle.
Each plant is about 3 1/2 weeks old from seed. (still in veg)
Got 4 Critical Jack on left side of tent, 1 Critical Jack in middle and 4 white rhino on right hand side.
Got 2 small ultrasonic humidifiers on each side of tent, 1 larger steam humidifier in middle of tent.
Got 2 16" fans with adjustable height either side of tent both set to low speed (at different heights).
growing in 15L pots resting on trays with canna coco pro.
currently using canna A + B with rhizotonic. 15ml A + B with 10 ml rhizotonic.
Ph = around 6.
Also have Boost + pk13/14 for flowering.
Humidity currently* 45%
Temperature hovers around 30c.
Was watering once every 3-4 days with 30ml A + B and 20ml rhizotonic, with a Litre of nute mix for each pot. now once every 2 days with 15ml A + B and 10 ml rhizotonic. (no runoff though ?).

Right, when i first started i germinated the seeds placed one in each pot and watered with mineral water.
after about a week i noticed they were developing slowly and was told my humidity was way too low at 20%.
so i bought a box which tells me the temp & humidity it can also control fan speed and i lowered both fans to 25%
then the temperature seemed to soar up so i moved lights way up near the top of tent. this lowered heat to around 29c.
i purchased 9 see through plastic tubs to place over each pot, cut 2 large holes in the top of each, and put another humidity gauge inside 1, i misted regularly and humidity was around 70% with temperatures about 32c.
i watered once every 3 days
the plants on the right side (rhino) grew fast & huge.
the plants on the left (critical jack) also grew but grew outwards rather than upwards and seem to grow alot slower than the rhino.
then i noticed the plastic tubs were too small now so i had to remove them.
i removed the tubs but humidity fell rapidly. 22% thereabouts.
i purchased 3 humidifiers. 2 of which steam cold mist over the plants (kind of). 1 with hot mist in the middle of tent with 2 16" fans blowing around. and now its around 45% constantly.
I now water once every 2 days as the coco dries quicker.
if i raise the fan speed the humidity gets sucked straight out of the tent. and i plan to start flowering these in 2 weeks but dont want any smell to leave.

should i start watering them with a larger amount of nute mix to get a run off into the tray and hope they naturally create more humidity?

what the hell do i do now ???

any help is greatly appreciated!!

(p.s i wont provide any pics unless these things are dying. soz)

The Official Canna Coco & Nutrients Thread Go to this thread. I am a first time Coco grower myself and the people on this thread have been very helpful with all questions. i am now in 3rd week of flowering and i cant believe the difference in plant size, thickness and yield over my past soil grows.

Hope this helps,
Mica

My rh is around 20% and my plants are fine.

I water until the tray is half full, then water again when the tray is dry. You want to water so it comes out the bottom so your coco is flushed each time you water. Some water to waste, about 10% goes down the tubes. I no longer water to waste. The best tip I have heard for coco is to test your ppm before you water then test the run off. It should be slightly lower. if it is higher, dial back the nutes.

You have the net on the exhaust of the fan? You want the net blocking any crap from being pulled into the fan.

My RH is about 20% as well. They will drink a bit more water but that is all I have noticed thus far. I'm excited for flowering, 20% is gonna be sweeeeeet!

Hahahaha, I feel your pain. Although, now I have the sick shit. My shit looks like a damn store display model because of the information I have gathered here.

Seems like an endless money pit, but at least I'm spending money on this, and not drinking, clubbing, trying to pimp out my ride, etc. I'll be able to see the investment I have made eventually.

@trousers - yeah i have the net on the pulling side like you suggested, i have about 1000 mosquitos stuck to the thing o_O

besides, is PPM really important, i mean, can i get away without doing it each time i grow a new crop?
thanks for your help btw.

shall i wack the fans up full after the 2 weeks of pre-flower?
