College Areogarden3 -closet grow

So nothing better to do with my time than to post a college grow! SWIM has an aero that is safely tucked away in a closet far from campus. I am not going to lie; most of the good pointers came from this forum.
Like Mylar from Wal-Mart for 2$. Steal.
Ripping of the gardens hood and many others...

In the beginning two weeks of life I had hacked the aero and lowered the lights so they were no more than 3 inches from the leafs at all times. In my experience, having the lights this close allows for the most lumen absorption and of course bushy plants. You will notice some Mylar wrapped around a few pieces of cardboard just to give some more light to the bottom of the leafs. With all of the extra additions put into this small grow op, and on top of the limited college fund plan, a DIY co2 injector was created with a little bit of aquarium plumbing and a gallon jug plus yeast+sugar+water. I replace the mixture every three days.

The addition of a 70watt HPS used purely for flowering has brought more growth than I ever expected. Bought the 3pak fox farm nutes and have been using the hydro schedule at ½ strength at the end of the first week of veg. I will note that I had a little burn at the tips of leaves due to this; however I just wanted to jump the gun.

A lot has changed in the last few days. I started flowering on Friday Oct 10th 2008. 12/12 no doubt. What resulted was tons of new growth, with the reservoir having to be refilled sometimes more than once a day, and a very strong odor.

Now for the Questions and Answer section.

Q: Is there any point in the flowering cycle when the light can be increased to 14/10 or 13/11?
Q: is the odor really that bad with just one plant indoors?

Q: has anybody tried loading the co2 directly into the reservoir. I have heard that roots will absorb the carbon dioxide, however wouldn’t the surface area of the fan leaves be enough to take in all the necessary gases?

P.S. the latest these pics are dated is Oct 8th

1.no...12/12 is best leave it alone if you can
2.the odor will depend on the strain....i grow white widow and you can hardly smell it.
3. do not do the co2 thing in the res.....roots need oxygen the top part of the plant needs co2 and only when the lights are on.

hope i was helpfull.....looks good and good luck:leaf:

very helpful information thanks bug. I will keep the 12/12 as it, and maybe remove the NO2 during the dark photo period. if you look close enough on the attached photo, i swear you can see the female hair at the node. does that confirm a female or just normal?

HA!! $25 a gram... is that what it works out to after you get your yield and divide by your initial investment!!??! Bcuz shit like that only sells at 20 a gram when you are dealing with the big D-bags on campus who are trying to make a quick buck! it always used to be $25/$50 for anything good or bad!! now it seems like everyone only has "the good shit" which turns out to just be normal ass nuggets for 30/60 or $20 a gram... I only paid 70 for an 1/8th once and it was chocolope!! i even doubt it was thinking back to how dry it really was when I purchsed that bag!

??????? idk what to even say to this.....30/60???? is that gram/eighth?
25 a g is the going price here.....good for you if it's less in your area. is it white widow....and are you sure? my yield has nothing to do with any price....i'm trying to find a point in your post. but i guess i'm too old and feeble to "get it" so good luck with letting everyone know that your better than them. hope that works out for ya:bigjoint:

you will love growing this strain. i fell in love with it and keep it constantly......did i miss something on that other guys post or was he/she being silly:wall:.....kinda confused, but that damn white widow might have something to do with that.

touche bug, touche...

I hadn't the slightest intention of letting everyone know I am the shit. I already knew that and so did you!

Anyway I was merely mentioning the fact that an eighth of any high quality bud will reach its highest market value on a college campus. now what gets me is that people would try to sell WW's for so much, how do you even pay for 3.5g @$25?? 87.5 is a very strange price; I personally hate paying w/ singles!

i get 25 out of the ghetto but whatever i guess.

now what gets me is that people would try to sell WW's for so much,

because it's world class pot and it's strong beyond reason and the taste is compared to juicy fruit gum and grape bubbalicous with a no ceiling buzz that is truely powerfull.......nope , nothing there worth a lot of money at all.....i totally get your point now:wall:

it's called a price break....you know the bigger the package the less markup:leaf:
