Colorado - Medical marijuana dispensaries: High-tech tracking system unfulfilled

"The technology was supposed to efficiently track medical marijuana from seed to sale — the catch-phrase that came to define Colorado's efforts to regulate what had been an outlaw business.

Field investigators could walk into any dispensary or grow operation and with a digital reader instantly collect data from tags attached to everything from newly potted plants to pot-infused lollipops."

Colorado, I believe, will soon be seeing the raids on their despinsaries tha California is now witnessing. I know someone had to be first, but when the president says the feds wont mess with any state that has an "enforcible" MMJ law, then colorado legalizes recreational use, to me its a matter of time before the hounds are unleashed. Hope I'm wrong and the trickle now started by this phase of legalization turns into a raging river and sweeps the nation.

We lived in Montana in 2011 and watched the Feds raid that state and close virtually the entire system within a month.

Yes I saw that damage first hand, the majority of my customers, although not that many, are mostly ex-card holders from the 2011 legislation fallout. They just introduced a bill to attempt to amend those 2011 restrictions and add even less restrictions, it's not expected to pass but who knows.

they are waiting for the stores to open up that sells openly to the public over 21.....Just like in washington as soon as 1 store open up and starts selling to the public the Feds will shut them down

Medical is one thing....selling to everyone over 21 from a storefront is somethin else

WA Republicans are trying to tax the medical growers now, 20% tax when donating meds to a dispensary... no tax on the donation (hence its a donation) of meds to patients.
