complete newbie bit of a weird situation.

Alright first I wanna say this sites great been kinda creeping around for a few weeks now. love all the journals and tons of great info and pics great job guys!!!

But heres my situation a couple weeks back i was thinking about maybe starting a little personal grow just 2 plants to start. Test out my green thumb. so a buddy of mine gave me some seeds and i went out and bought a aero garden heard it was pretty easy. I brought it home stared at the box google some info checked this site out for a bit then I germinated my seeds. I had afew days before i had to use the garden but with x mass and all the money I spent on the garden was kinda needed so i took it back.

I was going to just throw the seeds out but when I looked at them they actualy started to become little plants pretty cool. (like i said complete newbie) was kinda jacked so i decided to throw them in some planters in with my lizard to share the light. ( bad idea i know) just thought maybe it was better then the garbage.

Turns out they like it i now have 2 plants little less then 2 inch's. Now my question to you guys is what should i do. Should i get some nutrients, better light, could i make a cheap little hydroponic system or should i just give up. let me know your the experts. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

I will take pictures when i find my camera too if needed.

i would sugest trying some tomatoes plants first. if u can grow a tomatoe plant then move up to the pot plant.!

start out in soil or a soilless mix if its your first time

get some soil, and get some lights.

cheap nutes will work. something like All purpose fert 20-20-20 w/ all micronutes for veg, and for flower something with high P in NPK ratio so like 10-54-10 Schultz. you can get both at walmart $7 each.

i wouldnt start nutes till like 2-3 weeks in. and start at low dosage something like 1/6 what the container says. work your way up slowly every time you feed. feed no more then every other watering. pH your solution to around 6.5.

veg them on a 18/6 light cycle. that being 18hours lights on 6 hours off. when you want to flower (when the plant is 1/2 the size you want it) put it on a 12/12 light cycle. when the plant shows its first sign of white pistils (if it shows balls then its a male, no buds there and it will ruin your females, kill it) it will take around 9 weeks for the nugs to be ready for harvest, the best way to tell is to look at the buds with a 30x microscope, to see if the tricomes are milky/amber instead of clear.

that is all you need to know really to grow a decent first time plant. my first time i didnt even know about pH and all, i fucked up the roots and all, but i still harvested a ounce. this time around im doing way better, and i think by the summer ill have it down and can start experimenting with more advanced cultivation methods.

weed is one of the easiest plants to grow dont worry, good light source, water, and some nutrients and they will grow nice.
