Compost/fertilizer

Question! I've had a compost/garden for about 2 years now and I'm using the compost/soil mix with well drainage potting soil for my new babies. Could I make a tea with my compost, lyme and cow manure from the pasture? Also if I can how do I proportion it

The problem with cow poop is that bovines don't digest the seeds they eat. Sheep digest seeds. But not cows. Any seeds they poop will sprout.

That's why cow poop isn't usually used in a garden. Unless its been 'cooked' to kill the seeds. Otherwise, you're getting pasture weeds and grass growing in the garden.

Things like sheep shit are better suited to a garden.

I've always had great turnouts on all my vegetables with cow manure. I actually kind of like the fact that it does have sprouts because it mimics a cover crop witch helps with nutrients. But I'm not sure of that's ok with these type of plants since this is my first time

Ever seen a shit tractor? All the cow poop out the holding pins gets scraped up and spread back out in the pasture. For that it works. But for container growing? I've never seen it recommended for it. Its more a field fertilizer.

Yeah I have cattle and my garden is a raised bed. I've been reading up on cover crop for them and the silage that our cows eat has a lot of nutrients for my "live" soil but wasn't sure if it would be too much.
