Computer fans

what would you use comp fans for??? I'm wanting to turn an old dresser into a stealth grow box......my cousin has tons of spare computer fans laying around his house that i know he wouldn't mind giving me, i just don't know what to tell him why i need them! he's down with smoking, I would just rather no one know about it besides myself.

SO.....if you were asking your cousin for 10 computer fans, what would you tell him they are for?

either a diy hovercraft build or a monster pc....?

dude, you don't need 10 unless that's a fucking massive dresser. 2 in, 2 out, maybe 2 on the plants themselves. Tell him you wanna use them to cool your PC more, probs the most subtle excuse...

the reason i said 10 is i have 2 of these dressers, and I thought if the first grow does well im gonna turn the other one into a grow box as well......

just take em if he has tons lol but for real tell him that its for a school project or something

Try to get the good ones with ball bearings if you can (Antec etc.) they are sooooo much more quieter than the others.

what would a fella wire these fans to for power?

The fans say the power rating. You just need to hook up a power source to match. Example 1A 12V just find a matching DC adapter (old RC car maybe?) and cut and splice the wires together. Simple and probably won't cost very much.

I run 11 fans on my comp LOL, Fucker sounds like a hurracane when I start that bitch up. But I game alot so my comp gets very hot, I have Fans on every part of my comp even the CDrom....
