Concerns with topping and lst in 2 gal pots

I have 2 plants growing. One is in a solo cup and one is in a 2 gal. They are about 10 days in and looking nice. My concern is I am going to eventually start lst and topping bc I only have 63 in of vertical height to work with. I’m in a 2 x 2 x 5. Will I be okay to do this process and finish in a 2 gal or will I have to transplant eventually from a 2 gal to bigger, and will transplanting ruin the lst and top process.

A 2 gallon pot is pretty small, I personally use 5 gallon. If it were me I would transplant and than do your LST/Topping. With only 5 feet LST will be very important as you need space between plants and lights. May help to put netting in tent to keep tops down

I have a batch that I'm finishing in 5 gallon(4 something actual) nursery pots that are only half to 3/4 full. Started them all as manifolds as I was using a T5 fixture and planned to finish with it. That said... They vegged for 4 weeks in solo cups, then 4 weeks in 1 gallons, then I upgraded to HPS and put them into 5's as soon as I put them under the HPS on 12/12. In no way shape or form was the 3ish gallons too little amount of soil. I top dressed with EWC and the soil once mid flower. I do admit though, the transplanting and one top dress were a must. This is all useless info if you're using anything other than soil. Hope this helps. Just don't want you being under the impression you need big pots to LST as I didn't NEED big pots for my HST.
