Conditions, new seeds in soil

I've recently germinated some Northern lights from senseiseeds using the paper towel method, Each seed has cracked out of their seed showing the taproot they had been germinating for 4 days prior to being planted.

They are currently under a Metal Halide 400w light in a 80cmx80cmx180cm grow tent under a humidity tray. They are all potted in coco coir with a little mix of perlite for good drainage. They haven't sprouted yet and it has been just over a day, and I'm wondering.......

Is my temperature and humidity right for my newly planted seeds? currently 70 degrees with about 40-45% humidity. I'm using a wing reflector with a MH bulb about 55cm away from the tray.

Am I doing everything right?

I've only watered them once since I planted them yesterday with a PH of about 6.2

Leave them alone...go get laid...profit.

If that's the advice you have for me, why are you sat on this site doing nothing but post useless bullshit instead of getting laid Mr. Resinhound?

This is my first post, and first grow cut me some slack. Is my setup any good?

LEAVE THEM ALONE and let them sprout...jesus christ man its only been a day.You came here for advice..how deep did you plant them? Again keep them moist...not soaked and leave them alone.These things aren't machines they need a few days as long as you didnt plant the seeds a foot deep.

Ight thank you, about a knuckle deep. All I wanted to know was if the conditions were okay for them once they sprout... And if the setup I have at the moment is good enough.

Set up looks fine,they should be good.Just have to be patient

Yeah man just leave them 40-60% RH is good for seedlings temp could come up a bit to 75-78 °f even 80°f is good, helps to boost growth a little in the first week or 2 of life. After that 40% RH and 70-75°f is the sweet spot for veg and flower. Chill out and give them a few few days and 1/4 strength nutes.

When should I start feeding nutes? I'm gunna be using canna a+b and PK 13/14 + a little cal-mag because I've heard coco coir can get really deficient in calcium and magnesium and completely ruin the plant

I would start a 1/8th strength feedings as soon as the first set of real leafs grow in and slow work up to 1/4 strength

I read somewhere its best to start feeding with nutes once the 3rd set of leaves have grown in, with 1/4 strength. Any nutrients sounds a little risky with such a young plant I've never used canna a+b before, and I can't find much on how to feed with it. Should I just go in blind? I heard so many bad stories of overfeeding I don't want the same to happen to me...

Pk 13/14 shouldnt be used outside of the first 2 weeks of flower...its not needed for veg...you can start feeding when some true leaves pop.Lightly...

hey there just my two cents do raise temp to around 76 do not feed until third node with the nutes you have . do give them some great white or the like . after 1 week start on alfalfa sprout tea . its easy grow alfalfa sprouts unitl 2-3 days after pop . blend up bubble for 24hrs then strain and store in fridge .Im not going into all the goodies you get but works for me and seem to help with node stacking under leds plus boost growth a fair bit cheers . IMO i feed sprout tea and beneficials (microbes fungi) for 2 weeks roughly ever four days but less than 100ml each water .

Oh and when u up pot charge ur coco first !!!!! happy days .

you make this all needlessly complicated. get rid of humidity tray, it's overmarkted bullshit. You dont need it for nothing.

"4 days soaking in paper towel".. next time just plant it directly in your pot, will be much less hassle & much quicker overall.

Just me talking but knuckle deep seems very deep to plant seeds to me. I believe in the barely cover method

Knuckle deep is fine. If it can't break a half inch soil its weak and I don't want it.

Plant directly to pot next time. That root that pops out has many very fine hair like roots. The more it is handled the higher the risk of damage and damping off.

Its a seed. Cannabis growers are the only ones that use paper towels besides like 5th grade science.

No humidity dome needed either.

Use only tray from dome,, add bit of water in there and sit your cups in the tray...mist them everyday too..
