For over a year now I have been using a Lumatek 250watt digital ballast.
I have been using a Eiko Arc Master Metal Halide 250watt for Veg.
I have been using a Eiko High Pressure Sodium 250watt for flowering.
My HPS bulb has pooped out and I was wondering about replacements. My local shop sells a 270 watt super agro bulb that they claim produces 30% increase in blue spectrum for around $50 and the standard HPS for around $30. Sounds like to me the super agro would be better then using a standard HPS for veg but I'm looking to only use the bulb for flowering. Here is my questions about the bulb:
1 Is the super agro better for flowering?
2 Do 270 watt bulbs work in 250 watt ballasts?
3 Does it matter if magnetic or digital ballast?
4 If the bulb can be ran in a 250watt ballast will the light be less intense then running in a 270 watt ballast?
Any other input or advice welcomed.
