Controlling pH without a pH monitor?

My noob knowledge so far tells me that

Tap Water is Alkaline,
rainwater is perfect,
nutrients is acidic.

My question is would this watering schedule give me a balanced pH?

alkaline tap water + acidic nutrient mix = balanced when mixed?

and rainwater for all non-nute schedule feedings.

Please let me know! I went all out on my 1000w hps 4x4x6.5' FlowerRoom...I have 3 sexy bagseed ladies 4 weeks into flower right now, 8 babies in 24hr veg. and Feminized Master Kush and Blue Mystic Nirvanna Seeds on the way.

I WILL BE POSTING GROWLOGS for the new babies once I find my cord for my digi cam :) been to many forums and this is by far the most informative read and I love most of your senses of humor lol (we're all pot connoisseurs I guess we laugh at the same things :D lol)

Just get as much rain water as possible, and tap water let it sit out for 24hrs before use. Only use organic products and you will not need ph meter.

thank you very much everyone for your replies, this first grow is fully experimental and meant to pay for the 'good stuff' for my next batch of 8,

my 3 test plants were grown outdoors up ultil Flowering Week 2 when my 1000w hps and fan got here and i set up my growroom. Neem Oiled the hell outta them to get rid of these lil quick larva bastards, they're gone completely, spider mites dont even look in my direction anymore either lol

Spider Mites~ One must spray every 3 days 4x to kill them, other wise they will come back for blood and set uo tents everywhere
