Hi , first grow trying to get air flow right
I am using a 4x4x 6.5 tent , 4in 171 cfm fan and carbon scrubber 6in air cooled hood with 400w light
I am running it now with hood to duct to fan sitting on top of scrubber outside of tent
I also have oscillating fan in tent

My temps are ok till it gets in high 80 outside
What's going to be a more efficient way to cool this?
Add a 6in fan to hood and 4in for scrubber or ????
My tent only has 6in exhaust
4in exhaust
And hole for passive intake
All help appreciated
Thanks

Damn, I need 400cfm intake and outake to cool my 4x4 tent. I also have ANOTHER 6" fan that is just for cooling my light. That's 3, 6" fans. I tried using 4" fans and they just don't move enough air, IMO. Wasted alot of money buying small fans my first time. Still have a few 4" fans that have been collecting dust for years

Same reply along with what I found...
Don't have fans above the light, they will blow the hot air radiating from your lights down I to your plants. Make sure fans are below the lights.

I had enough airflow to suck in the sides of my tent, temps were a bit high. I left the bottom zipper open to allow more fresh air I. From the lowest and coolest point. Less restriction means more airflow which means fresh air replaces heated air which means cooler happier plants.

4x4x 6.5 with around 650cfm I think. And a Mars II 900 led good.
4x4x8 with an 8"1300 cfm fan cooling mars II 1200. More air flow the cooler the tent.

Cool air in, hot air out.

I have a little 4" scrubber sucking out of my little 4x2ft veg tent.

Your air removal is under powered and so is your light.

Get a 600w LED in there or upgrade your suction.

And make sure your hot air is leaving the room, not just the tent.

You don't get a cool tent in a hot room.

Thanks everyone
I bought a 6in waiting on mailman now.
My next question is I have been running fan outside of tent , pulling air across lights I was. Told I should have fan before lights pushing air across lights
Does it matter if I pull air thru lights or push air ???
Yes I am going to switch my bulb to 600w when next disability check comes
Thanks
