Cooltube won't fit in my stealth closet! Will it work vertically? With diagrams.

Hey guys!

I'm kitting out my wardrobe as a stealth growing closet.

It's 6 x 2.5 x 1.5 feet, and I want to use a 250W HPS lamp. I've decided to use a cooltube as it prevents heat building up.

I wanted to have it hanging horizontally but the inside space of my closet is 64cm, and the tube is 50cm, and i need 15cm either side for ducting to the top or bottom of the wardrobe.

Given that I'm growing plants from seed, would it work positioned as so?:

It can be raised and lowered with flexible ducting, and will probably be positioned at the back of the cabinet like this:

Would that work? For example when they are just starting out and in the vegetative stage, will they get enough light? I could attach a second reflector at the top to avoid all the light being wasted going up to the top of the wardrobe..

Many thanks.

yeah that'll work! you might wanna try the light right in the middle and then put four plants in each corner...i will be doing the same method but with a 150watt hps.......... and yeah, i plan on using a baking sheet (the ones you would bake cookies on) with a hole cut in the middle for the ducting to fit through and then have sit right on top of the cooltube..... good luck!! oh and do some searches for vertical scrog or v-scrog....... check out the forums on icmag.com and all the other forums... you will see that it works great and uses more available light because the bulb is completely surrounded by foliage when its time to start budding......as opposed to being reflected on to the plants ...... good luck!
