COuple of start up questions ( Newb)

I am looking to start something up but have a few questions before I keep my research going. I have been reading the site a while and following a few journals.

here are my couple a Qs

Can you run the same type of set up for grow out and flowering? I have seen the ones that look like fence posts and those seem to be pretty easy to run ebb and flow on.

I have seen a few people running cfl on the grow, isnt MH better? I have plenty of 400w MH and even a few 1000W

I am loking to set the room up but seem to want to set up 4 systems: Mother system, Clone system, Grow, and flower. Does this sound right?

I am only looking to stay small and save a little cash so dont want to go huge (10-12 clones max 2 strains)

my man stinkbud has a awsome setup . i think the thread is called "harvest a pound every 3 weeks" this thread will show you how to build all of the systems tell you what light to use and tell you the nutrient recipe and schedule. its all aero ponics and i built them all buying most of the stuff from wal mart and lowes.hope this helps
