Found 400w HID on craigslist for $30 apiece? too good to be true?

unless its a "high bay" light then I say of course something is wrong.. you wont find a good working actual hps "grow" ballast/light for 30.00.. Unless the seller is a crackhead..But a used High bay hps for 30.00 sounds about right

I second old school on this one. But if they are high bay lights you can still get them and pull the socket hood assembly off and wire a 15 amp cord to them making them remote ballast. This is what I did when I first started. We went and took some lights out of a commercial greenhouse we were demolishing. It was back in 91 when grow lights were hard to find and very expensive. We had 5 dozen 1000 watt hps. Sold most of them for 100 bucks a pop. Back to the point if it is actually a horticultural light its probably stolen.
