It seems my seeds were too drunk to grow properly. I've seen at least 20 or so seeds sprouted in party cups before and I've never seen any grow so crooked. They come out of the soil, and then jut off at near 90 degree angles. One is even almost corkscrew-ish. Sorry for the terrible pictures, but this is the best my camera phone has got.
All of these were put in those cups first. I didn't do the whole paper towel method.
