Cultivation

Can someone please tell me how I am suppose to cultivate my soil for my plants. I hear that all the time in here, Just dont know what you mean... Just the top soil or under ?? I really dont have a clue... LOL

What do I cultivate with, A Fork ? lol

yup a fork would do fine or anything , you just want to break up the ist inch or 2, just go down till you see a root for the first time, few broken roots wont hurt your plant all that much, you just want to keep that top layer loose, and keep air in it, your roots will love you for it, it airates the soil an helps it to dry quicker and more evenly preventing root rot and other things, i ususlly do this while watering, and an hour later, plus the following morning, and maybe once more before nxt water, it only takes few mins and really makes a difference and helps keep your pot of soil in good shape,

I really needed to know that cause Im trying to do the best I can with my first plant and The hairs on this plant are fully in bloom so I definately know she is a full blown female..... My second plant is growing rather fast... Its only 3 weeks old and about 1 ft. tall and getting very bushy.... People tell me that it will be a male cause of the rapid growth.... Do you know much about that truth or myth ????

Oh ... And the picture of my plant to the left there is now about 1 ft taller than in the pic... I didnt know they still grew taller during the flowering stage... But it was growing 2 inches a day at first and now has slowed to 1 inch a day... Im using a 250 watt HID Lamp to flower.. I know it seems to be a rather small wattage bulb but it seems to be doing rather well under it... I also have it in my bedroom at a constant 70 to 72 degree temp. It loves it... It sleeps in my bedroom with me.. LOL

i have never herd that before, the only thing i ever herd about rapid growth is good heath! maybe they just jealous! i dont know though dont take my word for it as im a newbie just giving you my opinion, and congrats on your baby girl!! exciting when you see all those little hairs coming out all over the place!

for growth in flower depending on the strain you got but most will as far as i know stretch quite a good bit during flower for the first few weeks then it should slow, i always seem to find that they grow much quicker in flower than veg, but could be cuz i go from 120ws of clfs to 400w hps never grown with anythign else so dont really no personally wat to expect, but mine come close to doubling in size, its a sativa dominant hybrid, prob why i get so much of a stretch
