Cupboard Setup For Autos

Still gonna add sidelights and reflectors and paint everything flat white.
The CFL's are hanging solidly and the height can be adjusted easily - can also add more CFL's
I will be adding 2 - 4 side lights as well

This will only be for growing Autoflowers. Because its easier and no hassle about light leaks.

But so far - what do you think?

I start plants with a similar setup and they grow fine.

What you need is some reflection so most of your light isn't wasted the way it is now. Just rip off enough tinfoil to overlap that fixture by 4 or 5 inches each side and the fold it lengthwise with the shiny side out and drape it over the bulbs. Just like this.



I have a 40W 2700K CFL in the middle and two 23W 6500K lights on either side to give a fuller light spectrum.

This is just to keep them growing slower until I have space for them under the 400W HIDS or until I consider them big enough to utilize the light from the bigger bulb.

Light that goes from a CFL bulb to a white wall 6" away then back to the plant is next to useless. Slap tinfoil right onto the bulb so all it's light has almost no distance to go before it gets to the plants. Think about getting a 100 or 150W HPS security light to boost flowering, You can for sure flower out some nice buds with CFLs but will double or triple your yield with some HPS or decent little LED light.

So i ended up buying a 300w (5w ea diodes) full spectrum LED
Just waiting for it to ship. Until then ill just run my CFLs

That'll work.

In the meantime get those CFLs closer to your baby so it doesn't stretch up too much. 4" above a sprout and closer once it has a pair of true leaves. Flick it around with a clean finger tip too to toughen up the stem as well.

You could also use E27 LED Spots, they're more efficient than CFLs and throw all their light downwards. I'm currently testing a 3x20w LED in a 35x35x60cm tent, I also have a 25w UV-B reptile CFL in there. What kind of ventilation do you have?
