????? Curing and storing ?????

i have read many time that curing should be done in a air tight jar filled half the way up and stored in dark place. that you need to open the jars every day to let fresh air in and the buds need to be moved around to keep out the mold



1. my question is how long do you need to cure your smoke that way.

2.can you open your jars and let them air out for 10min then close them back up and shake the jar to move the buds around or will that break off the resin glands

3. after cured how can you store your smoke and how long

you only open untill they are dry. Then sealed for 2-6 weeks
I dry till stems snap. then open "burp" the jars and let dry again. I do this untill the buds are dry takes me about 3-5 days then fill the jars up and seal. Put in a dark area and wait a few days check and then seal and leve for at least 3 weeks. Thats just me.

Curing is one of those things that is soooo easy to do yet it alwase gets fucked up by fools trying too hard. Cut down ur plants, trim all the fan leaves off, hang to dry in a well ventalated dark area for 5 to 7 days or untill there kinda crunchy on the outside but wet in the middle, then place buds in jars half way to 3/4 full, open jars every day for about 20 min, close jars and repeat every day shaking them around 2 times a day to reposition them in the jar. After 7 days ur good as gold and u can keep jars closed and stored in a cool dry dark plaace for quite a while. The basic idea behind curing is drying ur bud as SLOWLY as possible letting them stew in there own juices one might say. Good luck brotha

If cured properly and stored in a cool, dark place, it can last for more than a year. Im just finishing up a jar i packed 6 months ago. It smokes as well as it did when it was first put into storage.

how long did you keep leting your jars air out before you sealed them up for a long period of time

Its harvest time for my big fat dense beauties. Quite a few of the buds are over 15g wet. My last grow they weren't half that and were easy to cure. Is there a special technique for very dense buds? I guestimate about 8 to 10 oz from 5 under 2x600w. I have a 400w for veg.Quite a boost to my electric bill!
