That works for a lot of problems, I don't know about spider mites though.

ive never tried but if there flowering i wouldnt even try that im pretty sure the alcohol would do bad things to the buds and trichs but im no expert so...

I did when I got them recently. But I sort of went crazy on the little bastards - alternating iso alcohol, neem, safer soap, and pyrethrum one after another, spaced out every few days. All together it worked just fine... don't know which worked best though. I've heard of others having success w/ alcohol. I'm pretty sure it doesn't kill eggs, so if you use it you'll want to keep doing it every few days for a while to be sure you get any new hatchlings that show up.
BTW, I sprayed with 50/50 alcohol-water mix.
