Cut the taproot

I'm new to growing and was transplanting my plants out of coffee cups into a 1 gallon pot. I used a razor to cut side of the cup to make it easier to slide out and in one of my plants it cut into the soil and went through the taproot wrapped around the bottom of the cup. My question is what will happen to that plant? Is it worth keeping?

The plants are 3 weeks and were healthy before transplanting.

Edit: I understand it says well known member, but the account is a friends from years ago and I just using it to ask the question

The tap root above the cut will swell and calf lateral branches.

There's nothing wrong with the plant, transplant and grow away as with any other plant.
