Cutting back hours of lighting + REP

Ok so I'm harvesting tommrow or sat and have a couple of the last dark cycles for my plants has anyone had sucess with cutting back light hours or adding light hours the last night or longer and Why would be greatkiss-ass+ REP

Well if you had 2-3 weeks to go you could change to veg time for 3 days and then flower again. That would cause some stretch and more flowers, but that can be stressful on them. With only a couple of days left I would think that it would just finish and then start to regenerate. Some people finish off with 10-8 hours of light for the last few days to promote ripening of sativa dominant strains. There is no secret way to make it better/faster, just what works for you and your plants. So you'll have to experiment to find out.

i have..this is what I do..the last week ill give my plants 13 1/2 hours of light to help it use all its stored energy and process sugars..then before harvest i give em 24-72 hours of dark..the dark period will make ur buds more stickier and usually that means i higher THC percentage..i always recommend growers try this..the best way is to have two of the same strains and just do this to one plant if possible

it's up to you what would be great. that's your plan.

I don't get how it would increase trichome production... Less light = less trichomes to me.. I can see it stretching while searching for light but increased trichomes or THC content??? That just doesn't make sense to me.. How could the plant produce more without photosynthesis?

He does not need proof the plant goes into protection mode it produces more resin (not to get us high) but to protect the leaves and buds from drying out and or retaining moister to survive longer

It increases THC levels because it sends everything it has left to the buds.

it definitely wasnt a controlled experiment..if i could i would have done it like this..i would of gotten two of the same strains then done it to one and not to the other..then tested the thc % with a thc tester kit but all i did was do it to a couple plants (all my plants were different strains) and i noticed the 2 that got 72 hours of dark before harvest SEEMED stickier to me..thats y i said get two plants that are the same strain and try it to one..its totally safe its not ganna hurt ur plant so just try it and see what it does
