Cutting roots?

I am growing in DWC and the roots are starting to entangle. I want to take my plants out and clean out everything but i have to pull apart or cut the roots to take each plant out. Any thoughts on how this will affect my grow? Should I avoid this? Or is it not that big of a deal considering there are tons of roots growing?

when i tok out my males after sexing all of my roots were in a mass basically just shove your hand in there and with your fingers kind of wiggle and sway it for as long as u can and as long as u do your best and leave as much intact as u can u should be find i hardly saw any stress at all
