Day 26 of flower, first grow, bag seed - how is it going?

So, I have never grown before, but I have read a lot about it over the years. Now that things are legal, and I am a medical user, I decided to try. I had two bag seeds from dispensaries (pounds over the years, and 2 seeds ever).

I popped them both, both female, I cloned both, and vegged probably too long at 8 weeks.

Grown in coco coir and hydroton mix, 80/20. Fed with GH FloraNova grow until flower, now Bloom. I use a good PH meter and feed at 5.8-6.2 pH, and 1.8 EC, with 0.2 Ec of that being Calimagic. Fed 4x daily now, DTW. Under a Mars Hydro TSW2000 and an older Mars “600”. 430w from the wall in a 4x4.

They are exactly 26 days since flip... I used 2 different training techniques on each plant, and am wishing I had just used the “Uncle Ben” method on both.

Any thoughts on where I am at with things, versus where I should be?

Looking good friend! The only things I can see that need some attention are- 1) you could remove a bunch of the larger fan leaves. It looks like you are about two weeks into flowering or since the flowers actually began to show vs when you flipped to 12/12, so I would do that soon. It will allow more light to get deeper into the plant. And 2) remove all of the lowest branches that won't amount to anything worth trimming. And do it now. Removing them will help the larger branches and bud sites higher up to do much better. When you remove the lowest branches save them for clones and keep her going! Good luck and good job friend! :weed:

Thank you!

I’m also a moron and can’t count. Today is day 21 since flip, and day 14 since pistils appeared. Spot on.

I went through and did some mild defoliation and clipped the lower shots which aren’t growing much at all. Also tightened my LST ropes a bit and opened the middle up. Looks good.
