Watching KTLA news this morning and a story just popped up about the DEA and medical cannabis. They are denying its viability due to a lack of scientific data regarding its efficacy. Quite ironic that their departmental mandate has been to thwart cannabis use for the last 50 years as a social ill and now they are claiming ignorance to keep their budget. The report stated they were going to keep growing it at a DEA University (U of Mississippi) to study its uses.
Big pharma has probably provided them with countless millions of dollars for funding their escapades against cannabis, it would be interesting to see the financial link between the two entities.
