I have 2 plants that were doing fine. Actually, one plant I grew about 1.5 weeks ago. The other plant maybe 5 days ago.
At the same time- both are startnig to brown- the few leaves are beginning to twist/crumple and turn dark- which is a phopshate or magnesium insufficiency (I couldnt pinpoint it). I added some epsom salt (tiny tiny tiny tiny bit) in case its Mg insufficiency. I washed it out with clean bottled water, just in case I mixed in chlorine and ist burning. The light has always been the same distance away (it hasnt grown much)- and it gets the same 18/6 all the time.
I just transfered from tomato plant soil (which has an overall like... 8 8 8 nute mix) into Jiffy starter (perlite, peat, soil, mulch mix) and added clean water with, like I said, tiny tiny epsom salts to correct the possible Mg shortage.
I didnt have enougn money to buy 15-5-5 fertiziler. All I could find for cheap was like, orchid or rose or all-around fertiziler that is like 16-6-8, but I didnt get it because I was afraid just the tiniest measurement would burn the thing alive.
So anyway, i just transfered from a paper cup to a 1 gallon, with Jiffy and water + magnesium, and its under its CFL grow light.
Lets hope it fixes. The plant is maybe 0.8 inch tall. Its leaves were doing beatuifully- and one day, it fried. Its still green- but the brown/black twisting edges are creeping in on the rest of the plant...
