Decarb CBD

Hi,

I know you need to de carb to activate THC, but what if you only want the CBD? Say, someone doesn't wanna get high and its a THC plant, can you just brew the bud and only get the CBD benefits?

Don't decarboxylate if you don't want to get high. Cannabis decarboxylation is necessary for consumers who want to achieve maximum potency and reap the potential therapeutic and psychoactive effects of THC and CBD. If you intend to add cannabis directly to food or drink to achieve a potent high, you must activate the cannabinoids to get the most out of your cannabis. However, low-dose consumers or those who are new to cannabis can still reap some of the potential benefits and avoid a potent psychoactive high by skipping the decarbing step.

CBD also needs to be decarboxylated to activate it. According to this graph it actually needs higher heat to decarb than THC, so you can't activate the CBD without also activating the THC...

If you want to make CBD edibles, use high-CBD bud, not bud with THC...
