Dedicated Coco forum

Title says it all. After browsing this site for only a few days I can see there is a lot of confusion and misinformation about coco - but also a great deal of interest.

Coco can be as fast as hydro (it IS hydro) with many of the benefits of soil - especially if you grow hydro-organic.

Hell, not many people even know you can grow hydro-organic using coco as a substrate, but the proof is in the pot - so to speak.

we have plenty of threads dedicated to coco already, perhaps you have missed em, i believe even some are sticky "meaning at the top of the page" , we'll keep the suggestions in mind! Thank!

Coco is technically hydroponics, with slight differences like additional cal/mag requirements. I've seen some forums with their own special sections for this, I'm not sure if it is entirely necessary.

And that is EXACTLY why you need a dedicated coco forum - because there are already so many threads on it.

The problem is, all those threads are spread out amongst the hydro, organic and other sub-forums.

Wouldn't it be nice to put them all in once place?

Coco growing is more popular than ever and is getting bigger and bigger due to its combination of speed, reliability and organic nature. Yes it is another form of hydro (as I pointed out in my initial post), but it has a lot of soil-like qualities as well (great buffer, great moisture retention).

Indeed, if there are already as many coco threads as you say, you could create a dedicated forum and fill it up in no time.

Just sayin' . . . :bigjoint:

I personally don't think there is enough to create an entire sub forum , however I will wait for the head Admin to look at this.

it's all about supply and demand. if there is to be a sub forum or forum dedicated solely to coco, then there needs to be way more coco action going on around the forum. something to ponder when creating new subforums and whatnot

I understand that. And in some cases it's a Catch-22 - you need the interest to generate the forum, but you need the forum to generate the interest.

However, in this case, a simple search of the word "Coco" maxes out the search engine at 20 pages of hits (as high as it will go), so there must be an awful lot of people talking about coco in one form or another on this site.

And the potential to generate a bit of advertising revenue out of it is there as well. Lot's of nutrient companies are producing coco-specific nutes these days - as well as their own brands of coco (Canna, for example) - so with huge buyer demand, some type of forum sponsorship is not out of the realms of possibility . . .

thank you for your suggestion. it has been duly noted and will be taken into consideration .

I'm sure hellraizer is down with this idea, so you got one mod on your side :)

.... in the meantime, you can generate more interest into coco by starting more coco threads in the hydro forum, or whatever forum fits best at the moment :leaf:

No worries. No harm in asking and no hard feelings if it doesn't pan out. I've been jumping on the coco threads already. Love the stuff - as you can see :weed:
