deep woods- how dark can you go?

So my first indoor grow went well... 2 x NL : 10oz bud, 5 trim but after harvest i freeked out with them being in my house and chopped 2 more girls in flower, 3 vegging and 4 clones. Reason being that 10oz s should last me but I dont need that risk. Now I miss the grow so I'm thinking of growing in woods that surround my house... off my property. How dark of a wood will support their light requirements? I scoped out some clearings but I think no matter where will be under canopy? How much yield/plant would be avg? Does pee really deter deer coz my woods are full of them? I dont mind low yields if it means that I've reduced my risks but I'm not sure I have coz of pesky neighbors.

they need more then 12 hours of light reaching though the tree canopy to veg. Or 12 hours to flower. They dont really grow as a "full shade" plant. More of a full sun

you will definitly lose yield w/ the shade but they will grow n bud as normal..as far as piss..yes it helps but also take shampoo and deoderant and smudge it here and pour it there all around it to help scare any wildlife!! if it pretty shaded i would trim all but the cola/s as it will get the most light use!

It won't go. I said it before and the comment was deleted. It won't grow. Been there, done that. OK so it will maybe germinate and sprout - it will not excel.

Wrong....I screwed up on my first outdoor I ever did and had minimal light.Still pulled an ounce dry.Not saying to do this though as that ounce should have been a pound if I new how important mr sun was back then.

yeah canabis is a heavy sun plant....so find a good clearing that gets good sun. this is why i stick to indoor growing because finding a good safe full sun spot is near impossible unless you have acres of your own fielded property that you can monoter and secure. just had 7 plants ripped from right behind my house while i was either at work or sleeping....

I say do it. You can clear branches from trees. Dog hair will make most animals not come near your plot. And for the guy ^ that is scared. You wont get caught unless your growing like 40 plants. You might get ripped but the police have much better things to do then camp out in the woods WAITING for some one to MAYBE show up. And even if they do, explain to me how they can prove that the plot is your unless you litter and leave shit laying around. Just bring a book of crawling insects and your set.

How is it stupid or a waste of time.1 ounce is better than no weed at all.He said he was happy with 10 oz so he plants 10 plants in that area.. 10 ounces of bud and not half the risk of getting caught..seems good to me

Hotrodharley although I do agree with most of what you said and that piss line had me in stitches if you look at the op he just wants to know if it will grow.. Where as more light would be ideal you should find your best spot and go from there.. I would still start them inside to give it more of a chance and not have to worry about the veg cycle and the light it requires. I found human piss as long as you eat a lot of red meat will deter deer coyote piss is great to, the shampoo thing I have not tried but I assume it is to let them know a human is out there. I wouldn't be to worried about the cops if it is a low light situation with a small grow.. They are looking for full sun monsters, but bring a book just in case. Also sounds like your area would be a good hideout for slugs so put some copper wire around the stalk at the base they won't go over it... Good luck on your ventures

assuming you are not secluded enough to drop them in a clearing, find an east west tree line and plant them on the southern facing side. you can put them into the brush a bit, they don't have to be the first plant you pass walking into the tree line. sounds like you are growing for you so if you have good soil and at least 6hrs direct sunlight with 4 plants you could easily double your yield. As far as urine as a deterrent, go to the hunting section of walmart and pick up coyote, wolf or bear piss http://www.walmart.com/ip/Tink-s-Coyote-Mist-Predator-Lure-4-oz/20658083 IMO growing inside is safer than growing outside most times. No one but you and live-in GF/spouse should know about the grow and you could always get spotted on your way to the plot outdoors, or god forbid, at it.

If money and time are not important to you than you should grow in the deep woods.

here are some plants i have going in the bush now and they dont get alot of light as you can see they are super stretched. I dont expect much of them and think it will be a waste of time. i fucked up and took everything out and set it all up in a few hours. Next time i will spend alot more time finding the right spot with alot of direct sun.

Can't these be moved to your backyard?, had to ask after noticing your grow thread. I've done it by tying open the car trunk, and wrapping plants up like a Christmas tree with a bag and twine.

I think I'm going to give it ago with 4 plants this spring. So what if I only get 1oz per plant its purely for personal consumption and either I'm now a lightweight or the stuff I just grew inside is 10X stronger than what I used to buy. It'll cost me next to nothing, I already have the seeds and can grow to clones then take them into the woods. I just get freaked with a live plant inside my property... in the woods... theyre not mine, I'm just walking my dog.

these plants dont look that bad man and the spot seems alright, you might be surprised in what you get off them.
