deformed leaves 4 weeks in

hey y’all, first post, second grow. everything is looking good with this feminized plant, about a month after germ, but there’s some weird growth I’m worried about. i’m using minimal amounts of bottled base nutes, plus some organic vitamin B rhizotonic for root mass, under a basic fluorescent setup.

leaves up to the 4th node are normal, but starting with node 5 and now 6, leaves are growing unevenly, bending or curling in one direction, and the fingers are separating strangely. one leaf has a tear in it (check last pic). it’s definitely not pest bites, the leaf just ripped while it first grew out.

i’ve also manipulated the leaves slightly as they grow in since i’m trying to decide when to top it. so it could just be my clumsy ass fucking things up, but i’ve been pretty careful.

any thoughts appreciated :???:

Looks like something munching on em in bottom pic try a neem oil spray might help
ya it does look like that. but i watched that part of the leaf rip as it emerged and the fingers separated. and there’s no other evidence of critters anywhere else.

BUT i’m gonna invest in neem anyway! just in case.

I use it just as a preventative seems to work other than that they look healthy so don’t stress to much mate
i use that stuff from now on after one infestation i am super paranoid i pull a leaf off each plant everyday and check under a scope lol

Hey Buddy, it looks that you have a nice start on that plant. From the first couple of pics, I see some "frog skin" looking leaves as I personaly call it. I usually always find the cause of that is Broad Mites or possibly other very small bugs. The last picture though looks to be a classic Kitty Cat bite!! Just saying cause no mite, will ever take a chunk that big outta leaves. LOL. Possible your cat, or a mouse in the night (which both carry shitloads of same mites on their fur) took a bite and infected it with bad mites. Sorry, just thinking worst case scenario. :eyesmoke:
