Dehumidifers

Anything in particular that i should be looking out for when purchasing one?...

Tank size etc. I have a portable ac system which is supposed to dehumidify as well but was going to buy a separate one for sticking inside my tent as the ac unit will be outside the tent.

What is your current humidity level, temperature, wattage and grow room size?

I'm not sure about the size, you need to give some more info.... but I have heard that the water from it is great for the plants

its a one tent 600w hps grow... although i wouldnt mind increasing that to a 4 x 600w

im just wanting to know what to look for before i commit to buy

You can buy one at a big box store ($200-$300) and they'll work for about a year before they break (check reviews on Amazon). They're loud, they'll run constantly, pump out a lot of heat and only bring down your humidity 5-10%. OR you can look into commercial and industrial dehumidifiers which are supposedly bulletproof and don't have the drawbacks of the 'residential dehumidifiers'. I just dropped $1400 on one and can post a review if you'd like in a few weeks.

The water can be good IF the air the humidity/water is collected from is not full of contaminants. If it is they will end up in the water.
