Can anybody recommend a dehumidifier for a 5 x 9 x 7h space? What size... 25 pint or bigger? Brand name...one that hasn't been recalled as a fire hazard?

Thanks...

As much as i would like to have that one....it seems a bit more than i would need for such a small space...

Don't know if these are around any more, before I tied into my HVAC I had tried a portable air conditioner that was also a dehumidifier and exhausted it out my exhaust vent with a Y adapter. Reason I mention this particular unit is it can run on dehumidify without the air and was quite efficient, in addition it can be hooked up (with a drain hose) to directly drain somewhere. I had a sump pump in my room so I just ran the drain hose into the sump pump hole. I bought it at factorydirect.ca for $225 at the time. Model: Haier Air Conditioner CPRB08XCJ.

70 pint Frigidaire has worked well for me.

They have 30 and 50 pint versions as well, the price difference between the 30 and 70 is $60 (Amazon). So even if you just needed the 30 right now, I'd recommend buying the 70 so that you have to empty it less and can use it in a larger area in the future. The one downside is that the on-board hygrometer is about 5-10% above real ambient (I set mine for 50%, real ambient tends to be 40-45%), but this can be adjusted easily.
