Dehumidifiers???

Humiditys a little high in my grow tent, just around fourth week of flower so lookin to get sorted ASAP, humidity sits around 45-50 during lights on and goes up to 70 or so with lights of, have my intake fan and carbon filter fan running 24/7 along with two 6" fans. Anyone used any small dehumidifiers in there grow tents, or I seen these dehumidify bags which soak up water, then u microwave them
And reuse them again. Any one know of something I could get that's not to pricey?????
 
i use a portable dehumidifier in a closet. it works very good for me. i use a 400hps and my RO is around the same as yours when lights on and pretty much the same when lights off. with the portable unit it brings it down to around 50-60% which is what im looking for. i got mines from target.com. fyi
 
I'm growing in a 1m squared tent and I'm scrogging, most floor space is took up and my screen fits the whole way across the tent, so not really any room for it in the tent, what if I placed the dehumidifier outside the tent and close the room window how much do u think this would lower the humidity, I pull air from In this room. Don't really wanna spend the money unless I know it's goina make a difference
 
you only have to dehumidify the air coming in, i had mine in the tent untill i realised this, it works fine outside the tent, also i noticed a 3 degree tempature increase with the dehumidifier in the tent, hope this helps
 
I have the exact same readings on my twin 1000W HPS grow. I tried kitty litter (in a container on the floor), Damprid, and towels. Nothing worked. At 70% RH they won't last long. I just put my GE ADEW50LP 50 pint dehumidifier in last night. My "day" RH dropped from 50% to 25%. They are "sleeping" right now. At 9pm Pacific, I will go out and check on them, and report back. I think you have to find a way to spend the money. I paid $194 for this one after a lot of research. Great unit, great price, is the general consensus. I'll post results in five hours. You will be using this all of the time (growing/curing) so it is a good investment.
 
Come to think of it in nearly sure my da's got a dehumidifier, goina get it set up in my room tomoro
and see what happens with the humidity tomoro nite, hope it works. I'm growin blue widow at the min and I heard a few people getting mould problems in last two weeks of flowering, I'll update tomoro again and let you'd know how I get on
 
The results are in..this thing kicks ass!! The Rh was between 44-46% for the whole 24 hrs. On the crazy side, the entire 50 pint bucket was full,....in 24 hrs!




Edit: 17.5 pint capacity bucket.
 
Good results then m8, just goina get the dehumidifier into my room now and see how it works, hope as good a results as yours
 
Humidity has dropped a little now, the dehuey is filling with water so it's doin something. It's also raising the temp a bit wer now up to 29 d/c. My main issue is the humidity at night so the raise in temp should help lower the humidity at night cos my temp then is usually 19 or 20 d/c. Anyway lights go out in 2 hours so well see then
