my 2011 grow. all northern light blue. as you can see i grew a shitload of them.
it was my first outdoor grow so i could have done a little better im sure.
these girls averaged about 10oz a piece. even the topped one ended up 8 feet tall. they finish early october.
if it wasnt for the crappy fall weather in michigan i would have got double the yeild im sure.
its very potent upbeat high with a fruity taste

I dug huge holes and filled them with good soil. I probably could have not fed them at all and they would have done good.
I never neglected watering either. I actually dug a 8 foot deep well hole out in the woods. It was easier then hauling 50+ gallons of water a week in august

What date did she finish up by? I have one I just popped and I'm considering going out back with her this summer. I got her as a freebe and I've read good things about the strain. Would you agree with the descriptions given around the BB's?

They finished oct 15. It would have been sooner but we got really cold rainy weather the last few weeks.
Its super frost resistant too. All around its just a strong plant. Really hard to fuck up.
I grew a few last year too. We got a bunch of snow before I could get out to them. I pretty much wrote them off as a loss.two weeks later I got out to them and they were healthy as can be and ready for harvest. With snow on the ground!!!

That's exactly the kind of plant I like. Thanks!

I'm more of a sativa guy, but a friend gifted me a little Northern Lights a while ago. It was a nice, happy, relaxed indica buzz without a heavy couch lock. He didn't grow it so he didn't have any info on the strain. I had this bean so I'm just taking a stab at it. I have a pack of Dj Short Flo and doing my homework on the strain, before I put down the money, I saw quite a few reports on Blueberry too. NLxBB(NLB) sounds like a good cross to me, considering the buzz I'm looking for.

I just started growing organic myself. I'm indoors, under the lights, but I have grown outside too. I think alot of folks skimp on the hole. Where I'm at if you don't make a big hole, you're growing in nasty clay. Not exactly ideal growing conditions.

Yea. I do 3x3' too.
Its a lot of work digging qnd hauling soil for big holes way out in the woods. I like to take a few extra cutting to keep at home in case a deer or something kills one. Then it can be quickly replaced. Its too much work preparing them holes to even have one go empty

I know what you mean about having even one hole turn up blank after all that work. A cubic yard(3x3x3) is alot more dirt than most folks realize, until they put that shovel in the ground. If you have a secure place you can use that hole everafter, though.

A few years back we had a biblical plague of grasshoppers here. They took out all 4 plants I had outside, overnight. Hell, there were so many around here, those bastards even chewed big holes in every wondow screen on my house! That was a sad year to be growing outside.

At 100 plants I'd go crazy, come triming time. I boo-hoo about triming 4 plants at a time. And these days I grow Kali Mist which really doesn't require too much in the way of triming compaired to some plants.

Grasshoppers suck when things get out of ballance. That year there were so many that when I mowed my grass, they were literally all over me and the mower. After a while I'd get tired of swatting them off of me and just go with it. I looked like some kind human/grasshopper hybrid by the time the yard was finished.

No bullshit. I just finished trimming that 2011 crop right before my 2012 crop finished. Almost a year.
It filled my 4 car garage with hanging branches. It took me two weeks just to strip the fan leaves and break the plants down enough to cure in 5 gallon buckets.
I trimmed it dry. Averaged about 4-6 oz a week for a year. Never did get a total weight. It had to be close to ten pounds
