Desperate Help - My Crop Looks Like Crap

I'm dumping this on you guys because I'm struggling. I've been flowering what started as 6 plants and now is 4 under a 1000W for over 2 1/2 months now and it's just now starting to bud up. I need to figure out what I'm doing wrong and why my plants look like shit so in the next few weeks when I invest in more clones for flowering I have beautiful plants like everyone else. Here is my situation. I have a grow room that is about 10 x 10 x 7. For round 2 I will use 2 1000 watt grow lights to constantly flower 12 plants as I gained some patients. So let me tell you of my first problems. I bought 6 clones 2 1/2 feet tall ready to flower, northern lights and Super Silver Haze and Armageddon. The dick who sold them to me said just leave them in these little like 1/2 gallon pots they look like. He told me no need to transplant, just Veg them for a week then dump them right into 12/12 flower. My first time so I go buy a 1000 watt light, and have only oscillating fans running. Veg stage goes fine, I buy fox farm Open Sesame, Beastie Bloomz, Cha Ching, Big Bloom, Tiger Bloom, PH Up, PH down, a PH meter, and a Reverse Osmosis water filtration system. The temp is getting up to 95 before I cut the lights out so after a month in flower (I was broke for a month) I give in and buy a evaporative cooler and a complete CO2 system with regulator and two six inch 250 cfm inline fans from home depot which I attach to my light to run air in and out the window. Everything is completely light sealed so this is not the problem. With the 2 small fans on constantly which you can't hardly feel when you put your hand in front of the vent hood or the duct blowing air in. Those home depot fans don't work for shit. But I figure the low airflow will be good because I'm pumping CO2. So now I have an oscillating fan and a oscillating evaporative cooler at the bottom of the plants blowing air around, and very light ventilation so hopefully it's not blowing all my CO2 out. Then I hooked up the CO2 setup, who knows how to figure out the SCFH, PPM, percentage my god could they make these things any more difificult? I just put my CO2 regulator at 1 and leave it on for 11 hours during flowering, and then turn it off 1 hour before lights out. 12/12 schedule. Is that ok? I have no idea what the PPM is and will have to break down and buy a $400 meter. I'm not a millionaire and all this shit is getting way costly. For my room with this setup what should I leave the PPM on? The temp in the room is at like 75 in the mornings right now and 85 at night which I think is good. It will probably go down some in the winter. The plants just are taking forever to flower, will they ever finish in those tiny pots? Why are the leaves all yellow and fucked up looking? I'm following the fox farm schedule at 1/2 strength and using a ph meter to make sure levels are all good. Why the hell don't I have nice looking plants like the rest of you guys? I do water once a day but skip a day like twice a week. I water them about 1/4 to 1/3 of a gallon of water every day, the plants are like 6 feet tall now. Don't know what else to say. Any idea why my plants look like shit. The environment seems right. Please help I have 8 people who are making me their caretaker and I can't even grow one plant left. I've already had 2 funerals for plants lost during my learning curve. I know this batch probably looks all messed up because of the high temps in the beginning, but now that I'm on track are they going to ever finish? Has it ever taken 4 months to flower a plant? Next round are my plants going to look like shit again? What can I do different?

Probably too much of one of the thousand thing you got going on...too much can be a bad thing too!

You have way too many things going on. Your plants look like shit because you did no research. You are just throwing money at them. Spending money does not grow great plants. Doing your homework does. Do some research, alot of research and just start with the basics.

Lol yes I really did a number on these plants. But I guess what I'm really asking is do you think I have it ok. Next time I'm going through a buddy for healthier better looking clones because when I bought these ones 3 feet tall they had thin leaves already, probably the way he was growing them in those tiny pots. I may be stupid, can someone lend me a hand figuring this CO2 out. So my room is 10 x 10 x 7, with two fans blowing at the bottom and then up top the two duct fans which are cheap and hardly suck or blow at all. I leave all these fans on 24-7 but keep the room closed to keep the CO2 in. I've heard so many different things from people, all I want to know is can I just leave a steady stream of CO2 on. For example, right now I put the regulator on 1 SCFH which I believe means it releases 1000 ppm per hour. I just leave it on 11 hours a day during the light cycle and then shut it off an hour before lights out. Based on the size of my area, is this ok or do you think I'm giving them too much CO2? I would rather not get into shutting the fans off since the exhaust and fresh air fans are so weak I doubt it sucks any of the CO2 of the room and I heard it's good to have rotating fans at the bottom of your plants to keep the CO2 circulating and not settling. Plus as the temperatures stay between 75-85 now I need the fans on to keep it from rising over 85 by the end of the day. With the fans on it usually will stop at like 83. Thanks for any help anyone.

P.S. Any recommendations for changing the way I set things up or do things next round would be helpful, or do you think I should do fine next round with this setup, besides switching to 5 gallon pots...

As for your CO2 your plants wont absorb more than 1000 ppm under 30w per sq. ft. Over 60 and they'll take 2000ppm. And make sure the roots are getting saturated in CO2. (just google "too much CO2"). It looks like the plants suffered from heat stress too long tho. What kinda soil r u using? IMO the smaller my pot size the harder it is to grow in and the plants in them always look stunted compared to the ones in bigger pots. Never fails. and lastly and most important the genetics are likely at fault. Stronger plants/strains take can take a beating better. Hope this helps. :peace:

thanks for all the words of encouragement and help guys. I'm using fox farm, or that's what the guy who sold me the clones said. I plan on using that soil again next round because I like their simple charts for nutrients. I watched the Jorge Cervantes videos and am learning more every day, but still struggling to get it exactly right and am very nervous about my next crop seeing how difficult this one was for me. Now that the temps are good right away next crop should do fine I think. Believe it or not these plants are actually putting on a little weight now and the pistils are nice and white, with visible crystals. The better conditions are really helping out. They definitely have more than 60W per square foot. So you say 2000 ppm is good? Once I get the room to 2000 ppm, how do I maintain this with an 800 cubic feet room, 2 low oscillating fans, and the cooled exhaust in and out from the air cooled hood (2 inline 250 cfm cheap duct fans)? I went here:

http://www.hydroponics.net/learn/co2_calculator.asp

and that's the place where I got the regulator and setup. That easy calculator states that I need to run it for about an hour and 15 minutes at 1 to reach the desired PPMs of 200 in my room. My problem is not how to get my levels to 2000 ppm, It's how do I maintain the ppm once it reaches 2000. How fast will my plants absorb it or the fans blow it away. The room is sealed pretty good, and right now I only have 4 plants left but next time I have enough paperwork to do 12 so I'm assuming the CO2 consumption will increase. PS. How do I get extra CO2 to the roots, I was told the system needs to be up high because CO2 is heavier, if I run tons of tubing everywhere wouldn't that take away from the CO2 that needs to come down from the top? I hope I'm not bugging you guys just brainstorming out loud in the forum. Thanks again.

You seem to be overcomplicating this just put them in a big pot with good soil you and water them when the soil is dry and the leafs are a little droppy. Too much nutrients are bad for a plant they can not absorb it all and then the leafs can not perspire toxins. Those leafs are so small the plant is probably not able to get rid of toxins. too much nutrients are toxic to a plant! You seem to make this much more difficult, have you ever grown tomatoes or anything before? you should learn how to grow regular garden plants first and forget all the crazy hydroponic nonsense good soil and light and water and just enough nutrients is all most plants need and though i never grew marijuana i can tell you from what I read it is not a very difficult plant to grow at the most it is moderately difficult and the biggest problem is they get too big for the space and can not perspire toxins and accumulate too much nutrients which are toxic if it has too much, and they grow huge roots and need a good root structure because of how big and fast they grow.

Shit man those plants look desperate - more nitrogen, and next time have them closer to the light coz it looks like they've stretched to hell and not been given time for growing any side branches...

When you feed - give them about HALF the recommended dose at first then up it a BIT after a week or so (I personally go on half ml measurements)...if it starts looking bad/overfed then give them a single water with no nutes then go back to the amount you were originally using...I'd personally rather have them not have enough of something than too much coz once you've got lockout it LOOKS like its not getting enough of whatever - thats true because in fact theres so much of it in there the plant can't do anything with it. Example: give a starving man a crate of baked beans to eat and nothing to open them with and he won't eat and they'll go off, therefore making him lose the will to want anymore...give him a tin opener as well and a few cans a day instead of a full crate and they'll get used and he'll snatch your hand off when you offer him more...

Bloody hell, and to think I'm sober right now...hope thats a decent if slightly strange analysis...

Lots of good ideas and suggestions. Why not try growing out a few autoflowers first? That way you won't have to worry about lighting period at least, and in 60-70 days you can watch what normal growth progression should look like. Take it easy on all the bells and whistles, just make sure they get plenty of light and enough water, then sit back and watch. Then go from there. You'll pick it up very quickly.
