Destination Station PC Grow Box <Micro Grow>

Curious to experiment with a personal and discrete micro-grow, a friend and I set up an old Destination Station unit as a grow box. The goal for this grow is to develop some hands on experience (as this is our first grow) and contribute our efforts to the larger community here at Rollitup.com. While researching this project I relied heavily on the grow journals for PC Case grows. Hopefully this journal will do this same.

Any questions or tips (especially tips) are welcome. This journal is an open to every one.

The Equipment:
$10 Weed (for bag seed)
$0 Destination Station (From a School Trash Can)
$5 Space Blanket (Mylar)
$8 2 x PC Fans
$0 2 x Old Phone Chargers
$4 Reflective Tape
$9 3 x 6500k 26w CFL Bulbs

We started out by gutting out the motherboard, power supply and other guts of the box. We don't have a rivet gun so we were unable to remove the hard drive and floppy drive. Instead, we decided to place two sets of lights, one on the roof of the case on a power strip, and a set of two on an extension chord sitting underneath the riveted in box.

The thinking here is that we can experiment with two different types of growing techniques during one grow: LST and SCRoG. By placing the plant in the center of the case, we can SCRoG the right side of the plant so that it grows underneath the two lower lights. The left side of the plant will be trained toward the left of the box to grow upwards and outwards instead of through a screen. Any advice or criticism here is encouraged.

We are currently one week into the grow and seeing three of the four germinated seeds grow in Fox Farms soil. I've heard a lot of different opinions about this, but we've been growing on an 18/6 schedule for the week. Others have said a 20/4 schedule is more ideal. Input needed.
