Di membrane on the ro unit

Hi I have a ro unit and it does take a while to get the desired amount of water, most likely due to it being quite a cheap unit. I was wondering if I can take the de ironiser membrane offline so it should be a bit more efficient and surely the plants will benifit from the iron anyways ??

Why don't you try a backflush to see if that speeds things up. I always have my RO going to some sort of a keep full res with float shutoff. No waiting ever.
