If tomorrow every single distributor said f ARs we wont sell them, Im sure the manufacturers would be crapping their pants at the market control that was just placed at their door steps.

Gotta ban semi autos, or they will keep making them because millions will continue to buy them.

How do you guys feel about a caliber cut off, so you could still buy semi auto firearms for small caliber like 22 rim-fire and the like? Id honestly be a little butt hurt having to bolt in rim fire ammo one at a time while target shooting.

nah, splattering .22 rounds is cheap and effective at killing too. A Ruger .22 may have been the first gun used in a school shooting.
dad bought it for his mentally ill daughter, same shit going on today with video game looking rifles instead.
Gonna have to suffice with a weaponized rambo looking bolt action .22 my friend, if this continues

Marketing ploy, they did this once before after Sandy Hook. They're just trying to look like the good guy to bring in more sales.

No the problem was and is anyone no matter mental health issues or can buy not only a gun but an automatic weapon..

And some places don't check ID so that's already fucked. Also the problem lies with social media; the boy posted many times that he wanted and was going to be a school schooler.. people said yeah okay.. he was in therapy and no one looked into that? All these things should be healed before you're allowed to buy something new that can instantly end someone's lives... the neighbors who saw him practicing shooting in backyard acting all fucked up; if I saw that.. I'd call the cops.

I read that they did stop selling ARs in Dick's after Sandy Hook, and now they are not selling ARs in one of their hunting and fishing chain subsidiaries. So now 100% AR free at company and subsidiaries.

they did call the cops, like 31 times ! The cop that was posted at the school to protect the students from him hid outside when he heard shots fired in the school, they all but ignored the 31 police visits to this guy, and the fbi did the same when they got the tip.
many break downs here make it easy to spread the blame

Who is seriously talking about banning that rifle? True, some say semiautomatic guns should be banned. But seriously, gun control can be effective without banning those and other semiautomatics.

There is a group of gun owners who are serious and support gun control. That's been true for a while now. What's changing is the attitude of non-gun owners from benign neglect to outrage. Asshats that do as you, which is deny any gun control because, well I don't understand but it's clear that a very vocal but small minority oppose any regulations to gun ownership, are going to get run over by that super majority. If gun owners don't work to engage with non-gun owning majority to implement effective gun laws that make sense, I guarantee you and the other asshats will really dislike what non gun-owners implement.

The gun lobby has lost the hearts and minds of the super majority who don't own guns. It's just a matter of time before we implement gun controls. You can either play with us or pay later for your lack of intelligence.

Two things:

1. Not just anyone can buy an automatic weapon - legally. They can however by a SEMI-Automatic legally if they are able to purchase a firearm. An AR-15 is a semi-automatic.

2. Some gun shows or private sellers do not run background checks, but that may or may not be illegal.
Law Enforcement is completely libel in this mass shooting as the guns were purchased legally. There was numerous warnings including to the FBI and the sheriffs department was a bunch of political cowards.
