Did I do this right?

Hi I’m new to this forum. So like 2-3 weeks ago I ended up germinating a weed seed that I found in my stash. Fast forward to today I now now have a little seedling growing. I’m surprised I have even got this far tbh. I guess u can call me a neeewb since I’m not really sure what I’m doing. Im on a budget and have been using nothing but the sunlight in my backyard giving it about at least 5-7 hours of direct sunlight a day and a total of about 12-14 hours of outside light in general. At first I planted the weed in miracle grow garden soil thinking all it needs it just dirt, water, and soil. But after doing some research online I come to find out I need to put other stuff in it like perlite, sand, and used coffee grounds. So I went to Walmart and jacked some of the ingredients (Remember I’m on a budget) and then came home and mixed it into the dirt. I kind of ripped off like half the roots by accident during the process but it’s okay because the plant is still alive. But now after doing some more research it turns out I’m not supposed to add too much stuff in the soil during seedling stage or else i might “nute burn” it. Is this mixture fine or do I need to replant the whole plant again?

The stuff you added probably prevented nute burn as MG comes fertilized. Your only real mistake was ripping the roots, you're lucky shes still chugging along. Just remember to not overwater and keep giving it 5-7 hours of direct light per day and 12 hours at least of light all together. Anything else could push it to flower early.

Dont you mean 12 hrs of light a day for flowering and more then 12 hrs to keep her growing?
and you can get away without any pearlight or other stuff in the soil, as long as it stays light and airy you will be good, you may need to feed it in the future, once the soils nutes run out, but id go for a seaweed solutionto feed her with, not mirical grow. keep it organic

Leave the dam thing alone lol. If this is your first grow, and you have no idea, and its bag seed... This is the perfect time to just leave it alone and watch it and learn. You've already done unnecessary damage. Just let it grow m8!

Same, found a seed in my bud. Feel free to follow my post on here as I followed yours (same boat). Only thing I'm worried about (anyone feel free to answer) is what kind of plant can come from a bud seed? Male, fem, herm? Would I just have to check it's balls when the time comes?

Where in the hell did you read to put that crap in your soil?

MG isn't the best but it has everything you need to grow weed in it to begin with. The tough part with MG is not burning your plants by over watering because the nutrients in it are released by moisture.

Sand serves no purpose at all, perlite is good but you would have been fine with the amount already in the MG and coffee grounds are great for compost but just adding them on their own is a waste of time.

Also, don't steal man. If your budget is so tight you can't buy a bag of soil plant the damn thing in the ground.
