Did I screw up? (Pinching/bending)

Okay, last night I decided to follow a friend's advice and try pinching one of my plants to keep her from growing too tall... From seed, three weeks in veg under CFLs, ten inches or so tall and seven nodes. Friend's advice was to rub the stem between your fingers until you hear a small snap, then twist it and bend it down. And that's exactly what I did. Now I'm paranoid that I fucked up and what I've done is going to kill my plant.

This is my first grow, and the first time I've attempted any technique like this. Does it look alright, or should I duct tape it back together and wait for it to heal? I could barely sleep worrying about her last night.

dude not to worry. what you have done is called super-cropping an awesome if controversial training method for plants. although the top of the plant looks dire it will right itself given a few days. dnt duct tape her she will sort it out herself. do you know about topping plants. this also stops vertical growth for a lil while. but as far as super-cropping goes i have actually split a stem in half before now. intact either side of the split and didn't have a problem with her.
if you do it in future dont rub just pinch the stem you wnt super-cropped utill you feel it give. it will droop but as it comes back over the following days the branch/stem you s-c 'd will be thicker stronger and able to support more weight. some people will say DONT DO IT YOU WILL STRESS YOU PLANTS. um well yea obviously. a Lil stress is good for the plants it helps promote the plants natural defenses.
so dont worry she will be fine

na you'll be cool. you can leave it, it will stretch back towards the light on its own and make a big knot where the bend is. usually takes a week or 2. i think it even lets nutrients pass better, but dont quote me, in fact feel free to correct me.
ive done this in the past, but i usually dont do it so close to the node, more like the middle of the branch.

no duct tape tho, if you are going to attempt to put it back use a stick/steak and string.

but you should be ok. in the future try LSTing by tying it down to the pot.

I panicked like an idiot anyway and now I'm trying to remove the tiny square of duct tape I hastily stuck on after reading that post. Goddamn I feel stupid right now. Really wish I hadn't done that.

Going to take the majority advice here and wait it out :/ Thanks for the fast responses guys, you're all awesome.

dude notin to feel stupid about if you dont ask the questions how are you supposed to learn the art. and when you figure out all your do's and dont's that's precisely what growing becomes. an art.
