Different types of Aerogardens?

Hello everyone whats up this is my first post...basically I saw the commercial for the Aerogarden recently and obviously the first thought that came to my mind was im going to use that to grow bud. So Tuesday im getting paid and buying the Aerogarden...I was just wondering is there different types of Aerogardens? I see a black one and a white one and i hear of different versions like 2.0 and 3.0 etc...

I was wondering which one would be the best one to grow buds with?

also this is going to be my first time growing...I want to grow some dank shit but i want something easy to grow for the begginer...any advice on what strain to start off with?

one more thing...will weed grow in an attic with the aerogarden?
