I have been having what I thought was a cal-mag issue, but have failed to successfully solve it. I have done plenty of research and attempted to fix it, but can't seem to find success. I seem to be having a combination of yellow tips on the smaller/newer leaves (some older ones as well too though) and orange spots. My setup is the following:
-Two autoflower strains in 2 Gal DWC buckets w/ air stones (roots relatively healthy thanks to hydroguard, maybe some nute stains, but not slimy)
-300W UFO LED (plants recently stretched to about 12" from light. I maybe can move it up a few inches, but running out of vert space in my 2x2x4 tent)
-GH FLora nutes on recommended schedule (currently early bloom, just switched micro/gro/bloom from 2.5/2.5/2.5 to 2.5/1.25/2.5 mL per gal), diluted with 250 ppm tap water to about 450-500 ppm. pHed to 6.0
-water level is usually filled to about the 1.5 gal mark
-I have been adding maybe .5 mL of cal-mag/gal in response to suspected deficiency
-pH meter calibrated weekly at minimum
-Day 30 from sprout (early bloom I think)
This is how my plants typically eat.
1. Fill reservoir with above solution, pHed at about 5.8-6.0
2. Check pH an hour later (it's been jumping up to like 6.5-6.6
3. Add about a cup of 1/2 tap, 1/2 full strength nute solution, and 2 drops of acid. Repeat as necessary until pH drops to 6.0
4. pH remains stable for approx. 1 day.
5. After 24 hours, solution pretty much turns clear, pH drops to 5.5 or below, ppm drops to about 350-400, water drops roughly .5 gal
6. Top off with 6.3 pH full strength nutes, bring pH to 5.8-6.1
I've been more or less been having the same outcome as above for a week now. Obviously pH is less stable in a smaller res, and I monitor it very closely and frequently. Sorry for the messy post, and hopefully I've included enough information. I've attached carious pictures as well. They are a little blurry with the fan blowing. If they aren't clear enough, let me know and I will grab some better ones.
Any feedback is appreciated!
