Diy Aeroflow questions

Hi guys. This is my first post. I have been follow along for quite awhile now observing and learning. I am in the fist stages of getting a Diy aeroflow set up going on. From construction to plant strain. There are an amazing amount of variations out there and I am just trying to dial in the best design for the best possible results.
In the end I want 4 systems 8 ft long 5 channel with 6-8 600watt Hps. I have literally read and watched everything there is online about this aeroponic sysem and I still cant fully come to a decision on plant spacing. There are so many variables. Lets start with strain. I am leaning towards more indicant dominant. White widow, Chronic, Willam Wonder, skunk. The actual aeroflow design seems to close to me, and some go up to 12". I would like to do 10" staggered spacing. So five 8' rails, 9 2-3" netcups. I am doing outside plumbing 1800gph mag drive with 3/4" line to 1/2" to 1/4 " line attached to ez clone spray misters . I have yet to use them so I am not sure if I can get away with placing between each site or making one for each. Also you see some guy just going with the canopy technique while others will do major amount of leaf trimming for light exposure. Any ideas on spacing, growing technique, plant strain is very welcome.

I think it would be clone dependant, in otherwords, not even how big the plant grows, but, how big the clone grows. Some folks do little Popsicle bud clones, others let them get a foot tall or more... In an aero garden like you speak of , I assume you will be using clones.....

I'd say it was dependent on how big you let your clones get. I seen Rosenthal jam a bunch (about 200)of 3 inch rock wool cubes together ending up with little 1/4 oz Popsicles....

He started budding them as Soon as roots showed...
Personally, I Wondered if he maybe started turning the lights down to 12/12 a couple of days before he KNEW roots would show....

Most folks I see running aero's use the general 1sq ft rule. Placing the stem of each plant a sq ft away from the others. Other people I see go smaller than this even... 6Sq inches. It just all depends on how big you grow the clone and what strain you have.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Yep clones for sure. I would like to put clones from 12"- 18" in. Your right for sure, it depends on the strain. Thing is I'm going to be making the table before I know how the strains are going to grow. This seed breeders different than that seed breeder. I would really like to take some of the trial and error and guess work out of it if I can and see what others have done, strain wise and spacing.

In general "on average", and from experience, you won't be steered wrong by a 1 sq ft spacing regimen and then let them grow say 8inches before 12'ing the light on them. Again depending on strain, I am thinking you will end up with 18-24 inch finished beauties.
