DIY Automations for Grow tents using Home Assistant and ACI Controllers

Nice setup can you lift information from other wifi devices like growee pH /nutrient controller and zone controllers like one in picture i added
Ive automated a lot of things in my grow but it would be nice to see everything in one spot 20250326_232033.jpg

I dont think they have made the API availabl;e just yet. I have seen folks on the HAOS forum asking about this one.

I dont have one to poke around at to check either.

this person had contacted support asking about that, and they were told no.

I can but dont prefer it I am more ASM, C and then the normal scripting languages perl, python, golang. Ive written a bunch of my own modules for the HAOS software. I am very familiar with home automations etc..

I had this super old school setup going like 15 something years ago running on MisterHouse Project

HBU, you write code?

Very basic arduino coding skills,im an electrician by trade i know PLC programing but only dable with arduino as a hobby for projects that i think of .
But it becomes frustrating sometimes as my goals usually outway my skill set with C+

Oh nice! I know PLC, Scada networks etc very well. Should get you some esp32 devices to muck around with, they are pretty cool.

I been messing around with these lately from a company called Athom. That is what I am using to pull each tents power consumption.

Have you got yourself a 3d printer yet ?
I have 2 and have made quite a few grow related things aswell as other items that have nothing to do with growing but have to do with my other hoby

Not anymore but I worked on the firmware for printrbot back in the day. Abs filament had just come out the last time I messed much with 3d printing.

The nylon filament looks pretty interesting. I seen some videos of concrete 3d printers as well, which is pretty cool. I've wanted to get back into it a few times, but always something else getting in the way :D

Been reversing car ecu/cpus lately to create some modifications and just general messing around.

Here's a raspberry pi with a bunch of HATs setup to interface with the canbus network on vehicles lol

Thats a pretty flash little project.
Yea theres some exotic filaments around now , im happy with ABS it serves my needs. You can see some stuff i've printed and automated in this Grow Journal .

I'm a big fan of Mycodo running on an rpi 4 for our garden. 5 temperature sensors, 3 humidity sensors, 1 co2 sensor. Controlling 3 channels of PWM (2 fans, 1 light) and various tasmota-flashed AC switches. Also had 4 capacitive soil moisture sensors but those corroded over time.

Overkill? Probably...

That's awesome. Love it. Who cares if it's overkill haha. Bet it feels pretty good having it.

I have over complicated so many things just to run it on a pi or something. I installed new blinds just so I could automate them opening with the sunrise . Know all about overkill. Don't regret any of it though. Half the fun is building it all.
