Do The Mini LCD Digital Humidity Meters Work For Jars Of Buds?

I have read some reviews on Amazon and some of the negative ones say they are not accurate and are useless toys. What say ye?

I cannot post links yet so if you put the proper stuff in front with 3 w's it will go there..

I've owned over a dozen of that type....different flavors.

As a general rule the humidity was both incorrect and inconsistent across all meters.

Temp was much better compared to humidity.

Bottom line. Do the salt test to confirm accuracy on everything.

Some note the accuracy difference to make use of inaccurate gauges. +/-

If you are talking for curing jars , then they are fine.
For monitoring grow room temps / Rh ( ambient) then there’s plenty of options.

Simple for jars .... I check with a boveda pack in an empty jar . Some are + or minus . Then I right on back with tape whether + or - percent.

they do work, theyre not precise at 75% (the salt test).
But the lower the RH the more equal they become.
So theyre not bad, at 62% it was +- 1 on most.
Buy some more, compare them, throw away the ones who arent in the range.

They work fine in jars if you know the science behind bud moisture and air equilibrium otherwise your just another grower who followed the bad info.

I'll start you off - dried bud is10-15% moisture, now learn what us few pros know :-)
