Do u have to hang the bud to dry or...

Do i have to hang the bud to dry or could i place it in jars to cure right after harvest. I know it would take a long time to dry. Isnt the whole point of hanging them to dry just so they dry faster and not take a month long

if you need some smoke now you can smoke it premature, it will be not as tastey.
Or use my method.
i would stick it in the oven at 325-350 F for around 7-15 minutes(check enough so you dont burn it)
me and some friends used to soak buds in jack daniels and mhmm after 15 min have some tastey buds.
but if you hang it in a box with strings tied across, it should be ready in around 10-15 days. or longer if you like.

the oven method does take some thc values and taste down
though if you need some smoke, its not to bad of a decrease.

im not looking for other drying methods i just want to know if i can put them in a jar directly after being harvested

yea, if you want to wait longer.

no your bud will mold. hang dry for at least 5 days then into the jars if stems snap instead of bend. once in the jars. burp jars twice a day

my buddy would always through some in the microwave for like 25 seconds right after harvest to smoke... it would dry right and crumble to the touch but it still smoked ok.

NO JARS AFTER HARVEST PERIOD

Is that what you want to hear?

Just hang until you can snap the stem, then jar and open 2 times a day until they are to your liking

im not really an expert but doesnt alchohol disolve THC so wouldnt soaking ur bud in it just make void of THC

its wasnt to get high it was for taste, we had enough that soaking a few for taste really didnt matter but yes i belive you are correct.

no you cant go straight to jars, IT WILL MOLD, food dehydrator is the best way to dry your buds out IMO (for quick smoke only) not tasty cured bud

The real point of the hang dry then jar routine is to evenly dry your bud. When the outer part of the buds are very dry the inside is still very moist. By drying it most of the way (it should weigh around 3/4 less than it did) you put it in the jars to allow the remaining moisture to be absorbed by the dry bud. Often the interior of the buds is so moist that the pile "Sweats" with the inner moisture traveling to the outside of the bud then evaporating in the jar. Thats why you burp the jar. To let the humidity out. You really don't want your bud just "dry". You want it cured to burn well and taste good. Straight to jars and the moisture will rot your stash.
