nope you dont need a lowryder strain for the AG I too baught that strain thinking the exact same thing that it wont outgrow the length of the lights it did actually i had to rig it which is what i didnt want but oh well it turned out pretty good you should check it out, my thread should be in my signature. but yeah with simple modifications you could grow any strain. as for the lights for flowering if you could get the hps lights the better it is. if not soft white cfl's will do. which is what im using. no matter what you are deff going to need more lights than just the AG lights hope this help happy planting :bigjoint:

but would the hood of the AG block the light from the hps
Well I would suggest taking the hood out completely if you want you could place it for side growth but I beleave you won't need it if you got the hps. Besides the spectrum the hood throws out is more of the blue variety which is better for vegging. Completely up to you

i'm using the ag pro, havent changed anything, got mastergardners kit, so using the ag neus, i germed in the ag in 2 days no problems. now i'm ready to flower but having trouble. i am going to rep;ace the ag lights with 2700k, found on the net with the right connections, am also going to put a couple of cfl's on the side, but have to wait for pay day which means no buds for christmas. also have put a reflective sun visor behind for more light. but its perfect for veg as is, in my opinion.
