Do you need to flush?

Im in the 8th week of flowering and my plant should be ready for the snip next week, im using a nft hydro tank and just wondered if i have to flush my tank and just fill with fresh water? no nutes for the last week?

this is quiet some issue of belief my friend, some say flushing eases the smoke since it would flush out fertilizer and chlorophyll. as far as for the chlorophyll i can say that this is bull. i tried it and noticed no difference and since i rather trust into good curing then flushing.
i can tell you so much that good curing, especially water curing will bring you much more pleasure then flushing ever could;)

you maybe watch this thread closely since it is on the issue once more https://www.rollitup.org/organics/9271-flushing-not-necessary.html

yeah thanks green, people have told me to flush, and others say it doesn't really make that much difference to the smoke, it won't do my plant any harm though if i do flush will it? i mean it won't fall over and die just cos there's no nutes in the tank?

well it will take away a lot of there food, that is what you do, put them on a strict diet. would you cut away a bodybuilder his rich food if he is supposed to grow more musclemass? i rather wouldn't since he would beat you up for this one:D
so they won't die because of it but build out some signs for nutes deficiencies and that is a damn big sign of major stress which my lower the potency of the buds too.

and since you figured that it won't ease your smoke, why would you still go for it anyway;)

if you want a easy smoke, go for water curing, that is the way to go;)

that is a curing method that is similar to the one used with top tobacco leaves for finest organic tobacco. basically the buds are fermented in water about a week or longer, that will flush all shit out. it is faster the air curing and more effective but it cuts a bit into the flavor of the buds.

check this excellent thread by video about it:

I read a article on water curing too. it seemed very promising, I read up to 10 days curing, any more wont do anything. It says the way it works is it just washes out all the impurities, nutes, stuff like that, and the THC stays because water has no effect on it. One thing though, is that some small flakes can come off, and it will condense your buds down more in the long run, but they will have a higher concentration of THC, so your not loosing anything in the long run.

^^you figured it dude;) the ratio of plant material to THC is by weight higher in the end:)
